This two bedroom cottage is part of the converted police station in the historic old part of Stratton, near Bude. It is the perfect place to stay to explore both Devon and Cornwall. It sleeps 4+ and we accept well behaved dogs with prior agreement. Built in 1863 it has a large lounge with log burner, original wooden floors and Gothic stone mullion windows. It is sumptuously furnished with leather sofas and contemporary furniture. It boasts a modern kitchen and bathroom equipped with everything you need for your stay. The cottage has a selection of DVDs, games and playstation 2 games for your enjoyment. It is a real home from home.

Stratton dates back to the 16th century and is mentioned in the Doomsday book. Today it is a quiet village with thatched cottages, and a 12th century Norman church. There are two pubs a short walk away and a general store and Post Office. There are beautiful countryside walks nearby and the coastal path is a short 5 minute drive away as are Bude's beautiful beaches. Stratton also has a nine hole golf course with driving range and a mountain boarding centre.

Bude itself is a family orientated seaside town with fantastic beaches suitable for surfing and building sandcastles alike! It has an indoor pool, an outdoor sea pool, an indoor play area, ten pin bowling, horse riding centres, an 18 hole golf course, several outdoor pursuit centres, tennis courts, crazy golf and a skate park.
